Iodine
Technical iodine is a crystalline product of dark gray color with a metallic luster, with a size of about 30 mm or round granules. Depending on the method of use and the method of obtaining iodine is produced in two brands:
– 1st – for the production of medicines, synthetic rubber or rare metals;
– 2nd – for the production of iodide salts;
Area of use:
Crystalline technical iodine is:
– used in the production of veterinary medicines;
– a part of the catalysts;
– used in production of iodide salts;
– used upon obtaining rubber;
– for the synthesis of compounds;
– in the production of feed additives;
Technical iodine is toxic, explosion-proof, fireproof. Iodine is packed in cardboard drums with a capacity of not more than 28 cubic decimeters, with a tape liner. When shipped for export, iodine is packaged in accordance with GOST. Iodine is transported in covered vehicles.
