In the city of Garabogaz, with the participation of President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov, who was on a working trip in the Balkan region, took place the grand opening of a new industrial facility – the Garabogazkarbamid plant.
The launching ceremony of the enterprise, which added to the production infrastructure of the chemical industry of the country, was attended by the country’s leadership corps, representatives of foreign diplomatic missions and the media of foreign companies.
Dmitry Petrov, the CEO of «INTERTURKMENTRADE», also took part in the opening ceremony as an invited guest. The largest investment project in the region was implemented by foreign partners – the companies «Mitsubishi Corporation» (Japan) and «Gap Inşaat» (Turkey). The company used the latest world technologies.
Thus, the development of the Danish company «Haldor Topse AS» will allow daily production of 2 thousand tons of ammonia, and 660 thousand tons per year, which is used as the main raw material in the production of concentrated solid nitrogen fertilizer – carbamide. Here 3 thousand 500 tons will be produced daily, and 1 million 155 thousand tons of carbamide fertilizers yearly, which are planned to be exported by sea.
That is why, Garabogaz’s local port, which is the most important point of export of carbamide to foreign countries, has been completely reconstructed. After the launch of the industrial facility at the production capacity, the volume of carbamide production in the country will be more than 2 million tons.
Within this project, 10 two-storey luxury houses were built for 40 plant workers families. The company created about 1,000 job opportunities. A substantial part of the products manufactured at the Garabogazkarbamid plant is planned to be delivered to foreign consumers, who are already highly interested in purchasing this type of chemical products.
